Fish Stix features a flavorful Nicaraguan Habano 2000 wrapper over a thick ligero binder from Esteli and a selection of premium Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, including Esteli, Jalapa, and Ometepe ligero. The strength of this cigar is medium-full, and that power is matched in flavor. Your palate will encounter notes of dark roast coffee, freshly tanned leather, pleasant baking spices, along with a bit of black peppercorn on the retrohale. This may be a smaller cigar, but it offers a lot of smoke and an incredible amount of flavor.
Accord to the press release, Lure Cigars wanted to offer a smaller cigar that delivered on flavor for the quiet moments between casts, while on the go running errands, or between holes on the golf course. The idea for Fish Stix was developed last summer when we were testing blends from our Habano line. Initially released in a parejo format last year in limited quantity, the demand inspired us to move forward with the box press version that reminded us of the look of frozen fish sticks. The box press vitola also offers a slightly stronger profile with slightly less filler, and all the ligero kept in the blend.
